You know, I'd forgotten I'd written this story, based on the Sarah Jane Adventures' "Eye of the Gorgon." Kind of had me wibbling at the end.
( There has to be a point. If I can't find it in heaven, I'll find it on Earth.Collapse )
Fey inspired me with her awesome Blanche/Portia video, I decided to make my own Upstairs, Downstairs video. It's Rose/Sarah femmeslash--honestly, I didn't have to stretch much at all. Views and comments will be greatly appreciated.
Okay, Alex Kingston did it again. She got me back into Who after Tenant left. She lured me into ER (where I discovered the sapphic joy that is Kerry Weaver). And now, she's tipped us casually towards the UberCrack that is Upstairs, Downstairs.
We bought the whole 2010 series (2 seasons) a few weeks ago, and devoured it in two nights. Now we are going through the 70s incarnation on Netflix (Oh, I had such a crush on Jean Marsh as Roz from the TV version of 9 to 5!).
I'm seriously thinking of a Rose Buck megafic, linking both series (and Rose and Blanche Mottershead). Oh, the potential.
Or I could work on my next novel.....
Yeah, the novel may have to wait.
PS, if you're interested in downloading my new mainstream novel, Fairville: A Bayou Haunting, it's available on Kindle. I should get the Nook version up soon. There is a print version available on Amazon.com, as well.

( It was raining in Leadworth when she got to the house.Collapse )

I'm offering the download for $0.99 all week as an introductory offer. I'd love to hear your feedback, if you want to post it here.
All the Back Roads Home: Little Girl Lost
Twenty-five years after the headlines have faded, the infamous kidnapping of six-year-old heiress Samantha Lawson is just another human interest story. That is, until private investigator Mark Hunter finds the clue that breaks the mystery wide open and restores the missing woman to her family. Every sense in his body tells Hunter this is the girl, the little girl lost he has dreamed of finding all his life. But Mary Lee West hides many secrets. If he's going to prove she's the missing Lawson heir, Hunter is going to have to do it quickly--before her danger past catches up to them both!
Samantha Lawson, kidnapped as a child and raised by her captors in the backwoods of Kentucky, finds herself thrust into the shark-ridden world of the ultra-wealthy when she is discovered and freed at age 31. As she struggles to find her place in this new world, Samantha must discover the strength and resilience within her to overcome 25 years of isolation, abuse, and addition.
